They are quoted nominally by default, with a Real toggle that deflates by United States CPI (World Bank FP.CPI.TOTL, US series extended to 1913 from the BLS via FRED) and expresses the whole history in 2026 money. Inflation data is annual, so the deflator is interpolated between mid-year points, and the real view begins in 1913, where that CPI record starts.
