Evaluation checks

A deployment is a set of promises: a rival club is refused, a withdrawn consent leaves the next release, no raw key reaches a partner view, small groups stay withheld. Each promise is a check that runs against the live backend, and the results are published here rather than described. Synthetic data, labelled as such.

Why publish the checks

A data protection officer and a sponsor's analyst ask the same question in different words: how do I know the rules hold? A page that shows the last run, what was expected and what was observed answers it without a meeting. A failed check stays on the page until it passes.

What a check is

  • A question with one expected answer, run as a query against the live tables and functions.
  • The observed answer, recorded with the time it ran.
  • Pass or fail. Nothing in between, and no manual override.
