2006 Singaporean General Election

6 May 2006 · Dominance by design

General elections were held in Singapore on 6 May 2006 to elect members of Parliament. They were the twelfth general elections since the introduction of self-government in 1959 and the tenth since independence in 1965.

Cleanly counted but structurally tilted: GRC wards, government-aligned media and litigation against opposition figures shape the field long before polling day.
