2001 Singaporean General Election

3 November 2001 · Dominance by design

General elections were held in Singapore on 3 November 2001 to elect members of Parliament. They were the eleventh general elections since the introduction of self-government in 1959 and the ninth since independence in 1965.

Cleanly counted but structurally tilted: GRC wards, government-aligned media and litigation against opposition figures shape the field long before polling day.
