2006 Bosnian Presidency Election

1 October 2006 · Plurality contests · 3 members elected

Haris Silajdžić (Party for Bosnia and Herzegovina) won the Bosniak seat with 62.80%, Željko Komšić (Social Democratic Party) the Croat seat with 39.56% and Nebojša Radmanović (Alliance of Independent Social Democrats) the Serb seat with 53.26%. Turnout 55.31%.

Opponents alleged that the Croat member, Željko Komšić, was elected mainly by Bosniak voters and had not won a majority in any canton with a Croat majority. The article attributes this to the Federation's single ballot for the Bosniak and Croat seats.
