Where these numbers come from
Every figure starts from Wikimedia's monthly pageview dumps (user traffic) and each item's Wikidata sitelinks, summed across every language edition of Wikipedia. Two automated sweeps from late 2025 are removed day by day; ordinary automated reading, such as assistants looking things up for people, is kept. Mainland China, where Wikipedia is blocked, carries an estimate built on Taiwan and is marked est. Method, sources and limits are on the Methodology page.
