March 21, 1960 · The National Assembly on Taiwan

Indirect elections were held for the presidency and vice-presidency of the government of the Republic of China on Taiwan on March 21, 1960. The vote took place at the Chung-Shan Hall in Taipei.

An indirect, uncontested vote of the National Assembly elected on the mainland in 1947 and never re-elected, under martial law and one-party rule. Recorded here as a ritual of the era, not a competitive election.
