General elections were held in Singapore on 10 April 1951 to elect nine members of the Legislative Council. This election followed amendments to the Constitution which expanded the number of elected seats from six to nine out of a total of 25 seats.
A colonial-era vote on a very narrow registered franchise, filling only a minority of seats. Recorded here as history, not a full democratic election.
