Legislative elections were held in South Korea on 13 April 2000 to elect the 273 members of the National Assembly. Opinion polls suggested that the ruling Millennium Democratic Party (MDP) would win the most seats, but the conservative Grand National Party (GNP) emerged as the largest party, winning 133 of the 273 seats.
