1992 Croatian Presidential Election
2 August 1992 · Tuđman's presidency
Franjo Tuđman won with 57.83% against Dražen Budiša on 22.29%. Turnout 74.9%.
International observers criticised the vote for opposition access to state media and for the impartiality of officials. The timing was deemed favourable to the HDZ government, which had delayed approving electoral laws in violation of the new constitution, and the period between announcement and election was considered unusually short.
