1920 Cuban Legislative Election

1 November 1920 · Fraud, coalitions and a one-party sham · 59 seats

Liberal Party of Cuba finished first with 28 of 59 seats. Alfredo Zayas y Alfonso replaced Mario García Menocal.

The Liberal Party accused the ruling coalition of election fraud, the US ambassador substantiated it, and new elections were held in four provinces as a result.
