The 1st National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference was the first meeting of the top political advisory body of the People's Republic of China. It convened in Beijing on 9 October 1949 and ended on 21 December 1954.
Not an election at all: the delegates were invited by the Communist Party, and the conference proclaimed the People's Republic and acted as its legislature until 1954.
