Awami League finished first with 273 of 350 seats on 72.1% of the vote. Turnout 39.6%. Sheikh Hasina stayed in office.

Almost all opposition parties boycotted after a crackdown that put Khaleda Zia under house arrest, leaving 153 of 300 seats uncontested; the source states the election was not free and fair.
