Ball or Strike?

You're the umpire! Watch each pitch fly in, call it, then say which part of the rule made it a ball or a strike. Six pitches, twelve calls in all.

For grown-ups: the real strike zone, called pitch by pitch โ€” a pitch that clips any part of the zone is a strike; three strikes make an out, four balls a walk. Also: the zone is sized to the batter, a swing is always a strike, and a pitch only has to clip the front edge of the box over the plate. Replay booth tightens every margin for a genuine perception task. Ages 6โ€“10.
